Darwin Innovation Hub

Building and disrupting the Asia Pacific innovation ecosystem to show amazing projects can thrive in Northern Australia...

The DIH is a valuable landing pad for global companies who want to hit the ground running in the Northern Territory.

At Paspalis, we are proud to own and operate the Darwin Innovation Hub (DIH), a cornerstone of the Northern Territory’s dynamic innovation ecosystem, dedicated to supporting startups and fostering growth.

Established on 1 July 2017, the DIH became the first recipient of the Federal Government’s Incubator Support Initiative with matched funding support from the Northern Territory Government. From June 2020 to June 2023, we served as one of seven Delivery Partners of the Entrepreneurs’ Program for the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

Since then, the DIH has been running and managing it’s own early-stage start-up initiative, the Start NT Program.

Our DIH team includes highly skilled mentors covering all aspects of business development and growth, helping early stage companies become investment ready. These mentors are carefully selected to address the needs of Northern Australia’s growing and emerging industries.

The DIH supports the development and commercialisation of companies and projects that provide an economic advantage to Northern Australia, aligning with Paspalis’ Innovation Investment criteria. We also facilitate SAFE Note investments, providing crucial funding opportunities for DIH startups to accelerate their growth.

The DIH focuses on the Asia Pacific, stimulating cross-border projects and forging partnerships in key centres like Singapore. The DIH is a valuable landing pad for global companies who want to hit the ground running in the Northern Territory.

Our key services include start-up business development, start-up mentorship, industry problem workshops, venture capital investment readiness, deal origination, international market development, executive training workshops, and pitch events.
