Investment Criteria

Maximum 5-year term of investment
Able to take majority or minority position
Able to invest Equity, Debt or combination of both
$500,000 – $2,500,000 investment range
Realistic ability to exit investment
Strong management team
Minimum 15% Target IRR
Demonstration of diligent legal and corporate governance
Able to provide matched funding for Accelerating Commercialisation Grant funding and other such Government funding programs including the NT Local Jobs Fund and North Australian Infrastructure Facility.

Venture Capital Process

Stage 1: Make contact with us
Please make contact with our office via vc@paspalis.com.au and a member of our investment management team will get back to you.
Paspalis owns and operates the Darwin Innovation Hub which acts as an investment readiness incubator for companies seeking to commercialise their businesses in the Northern Territory.
The Darwin Innovation Hub is able to provide mentoring and investment readiness support to your business.
Once you decide you are ready, the Darwin Innovation Hub is able to introduce your businesses to our Investment Committee for Independent Assessment of whether your project meets our Investment Criteria.
Stage 2: Investment Committee Assessment
After an initial meeting, our Investment Committee will Independently assess your proposal against our investment criteria.
Our Investment Committee meets fortnightly to assess deals.
Once a deal has been determined by the Investment Committee to be Investment Ready, the deal moves to Stage 3 Term Sheet Due Diligence.
This process typically takes 1 week.
Stage 3: Term Sheet & Due diligence
At Stage 3 we work with our Investees to agree on the broad terms of an investment by way of a Term Sheet.
All Term Sheets agreed are subject to Due Diligence and Final Agreement sign off.
Once Terms are agreed our Investment Committee undertake a detailed Due Diligence followed by preparation of Final Legal Agreements.
This process typically takes 1-2 months.
Stage 4: Final Sign off and investment
Final stage includes final sign off which usually requires the completion of any special conditions agreed and required by our Investment Committee followed by Draw Down of Funds as detailed in our Agreement.
This process typically takes 1 month.
